Dreamweaver 4 help...
So I made my own site and uploaded it. but on my "links" page, none of the links work. When I try to make the text a link, I type in "http://www." and then the site, but it still won't work. help :(

this is gonna sound really dumb and condescending...but did you save it before viewing it?
because when i was making my site, i would forget to save it before i viewed it in my browser and nothing would work...and then i realized i was a tool and pressed save all. i felt super cool. -s.

*cracks his fingers* Here goes... Alrighty Guy... Your Links Page: All of your links are messed by the fact that they're all local links with the actual link on the end. Example: http://www3.telus.net/~a5a31595/dere...w.covebike.com So all that you have to do is open the Properties on all your links and change them to just www.covebike.com or whatever it is that you're linking to. Just remember that all those links aren't on your site so if it says file:// or anything like the example I put, change it so it's just the site you want. Best way to do it is in the Raw HTML view... WISYWIG is for losers. lol <a href="http://www.covebike.com">The Cove Bike Shop</a> it should look something like that. Then Upload it again. Hope this helps out. I had to think and actually use my IT Brain... it's been awhile. :)

Thanks, mapleleaf. I tried all sorts of shit. I know about WYSIWYG sucking ass, but my HTML is sub par. How would I get all the content centered in the browser?
Sammy, not to worry, I don't feel condescended ;) even when I do save it and then open it up to preview it, the damn thing wouldn't work. It's almost as frustrating as that lone red X on the page. Ive uploaded the damn files so many times now. Works on my desktop though. Now all I need to do it stop being so ghetto and go .com :)

I haven't used a wisiwig in several years now cause once I learned html.. it's just so much nicer, you have more control over the design and you can have nice clean html code (plus you can learn some nifty css)! just hit up http://www.w3schools.com.
