They were checking tickets with a flashlight? Don't tickets for plaza parties usually have barcodes on them? Whats the point in having barcodes if they don't use scanners?

regarding them checking the tickets with a flashlight I AM SURE they have a legit reason for that.. im sure they knew what the tickets looked like and what was counterfeit. the barcode stickers were on teh tickets for a reason and im sure there was something else wrong with the tickets.. ex. different ink colors etc. they're securities.. they're smart about things like that. im sure they've considered scanning them and found a problem.

just for my own curiosity if anyone bought a ticket off me and went wrong, can u please pm me thanks.

exactly, they weren't scanning them...i went out to speak to security and the police alongside d-lo..but they wouldn't listen to us..that they tickets need to be scanned to be checked for authenticity. me and d-lo have both personally over looked scanning of the tickets..and checking tickets ourselves at insomnia, which is the same kind of ticket as the grand finale ones apparently. they reasons to believe tickets were fake, were just plain retarded...it was like saying...hey ur not babyshortie, ur hair is black, but ur hair looks dark dark brown

tickets with barcodes are supposed to be scanned, not just to be looked at

if ur not gonna scan it..why put a barcode on it in the first place, just for looks?

I wasn't there so I really don't know how the situation was handled, but I figure the whole point of barcodes is the same as ticketmaster tickets.. they can only scan the same barcode once.

I'm trying to think back to the plaza parties I've had tickets for and whether they were scanned or what.. I think they did for Twisted 2003.. and Kiss this year?

no they didn't scan for twisted 03. not that I remember of.
They scanned for IMF - but that was ticketmaster n shit...

anybody remember the old school tickets that were cards and they had these huge ass machines at the door to check if its valid. those were sweet tickets but exspensive to put out

does anyone know how many people were turned away altogether? (from the fake tickets + overcapacity)

I was hearing talk near the morning that close to 2000 were turned away. Just looking to see whether some random raver was talking out of his ass or he actually knew something.

I really doubt it was up in the thousands... hundreds is possible. They were taking names and making a list... I didnèt know what they were going to do with the list so I didnèt volunteer information

But who ever it was that sold those counterfeit tickets is getting alot of bad karma... cus I have 3 greens now LOL
