A world renowned book that is in this category, I would highly reccomend Psycho-Cybernetics by Maxwell M. Maltz. There is also a new edition, they have sold over 65 million copies since the 1950s and it is translated into over 40 different languages.

Its difficult to get at the major bookstores because it flies off the shelves quickly. For the same reasons it's also difficult to get at a public library. You may want to call Chapters and find out which store has it available.
