teaching overseas

edit: i should post this under WORLD but it's got nothing to do with "Travelling around the world of electronic, check out our coverage." i also thought about FNK members but it also doesn't have anything to do with "Organize meets, car-pools, rollcalls and ask all your party questions." so here it is.

there was a thread earlier about "working" overseas... wasn't sure if it was teaching...
so any of you taught overseas?
if so, here are my research questions !
ANY feedback would be spectacular.

1) what you taught
2) it was a private / public / gov't-sponsored institute?
3) did the school provide homestay/food/any type of airflight?
4) how long was the contract and then, ur salary
5) did they ask if you could speak their native language (or asked if english was your native language)
6) where exactly (country AND city) you taught
7) what the students thought of you
8) what did the staff think of you
9) did you have fun and would you do it again.
10) did you enjoy the city you were staying at?

kinda long survey/questionnaire... but any help is great. thanks!

ps: oh ya and 11) is anyone planning on going in spring 2005 ! kuz i want to1

my cousin taught english while in hongkong but i think it was a part time job that she got but she loved it..the students were snobby to her at first because she spoke only english but when they found out she could speak chinese..they were fine..

my buddy went to teach english in china..he went as an undercover missionary..he said he wasn't as successful with the whole gospel thing as he was with the english jsut cuz if anyone found out..he'd go straight to prison and stuff...his room was bugged too..but he got back alright..oh..the staff really liked him cuz this guy is awesome with kids..

i think with the staff...they are probably use to having new people come to teach english and it really depends on who u are and how u interact with them and the students that make them think well of u..

but both people told me that the experience is great...sorry i can't give u more info..but good luck with all of this..

if i was the uber pervert, japan would be the place to teach especially in an all girls school! but i think japan is more of a vacation place for me.... expenses would be a bit too much.. but that's just an arrogant observation. still open to all options as i'm stil gathering research. taiwan i'm just guranteed a place to stay w/ a cool uncle if things don't work out.

lazee.. i actually thought hk students wouldn't like u as much IF u DID know chinese... but ok... but the great experience part is one of the more essential questions i need answered rite now thanks!
