both teams have solid defensive core
tampa is going to win i have lots of respect for calgary they have bleed their way to the cup but what do they bring? kiprosoff iginla and hard work and best 7th man in the league what does tampa bring the bulin wall richards, st.louis and lecavier and hard work hulk hogan (did anyone else see him iin the stands in game 7 of tampa and philly LOL) i think tampa is young but they will realize the oppurtunity in front of them. they will match calgarys hard work and their talent will win them the series i love watching tampa play. brad richards is the next joe sakic so......tampa in 6 conn smythe brad richards plus cory sarich.... i tried out with him for the s'toon contacts...although i was really young and didnt actually have a chance of making the team...cory wasnt too good yet...just a solid d man then the next year he grew like nine inches i believe haha i went to church with him too...yes im a hero so yeah tampa has so many awesome canadian kids and plus i want vancouver to be the team to break the stanley cup drought in canada. yes im selfish. I want tampa to win this year too, and I believe t hey will do it. Tampa has some talented canadian kids too a whole bunch of em. I wonder if they will continually use the hulkster for home games now haha.

Alright I've had enough of kenji deken and eboy owning the coaches corner section
It's my time. Calgary is my hope to win. This franchise was so close to moving in 2000. They made a gamble on iginla and it paid off. The franchise has been throug ha lot of hard times. and they're a canadian team how can you say boo to them. Besides the fact that calgary beat vancouver. even some of you canuck fans have to be at lest somewhat happy a canadian team made it this far.

^ dude the canucks were close to being sold to different owners to, amd the canucks have had alot of hard times as well. Don't gimme any of that pity stuff. So did the Oilers, so did buffalo so did how many other teams?
Come on gimme some good points like jaydream's. Some hockey points, i don't care for anything to do with the city itself cause a whole shit load of teams in the NHL have had their fairshare of problems k? but on a sidenote you are entitled to your team, so your pick is calgary fair enough. I still say tampa

agreed if not 6 key to calgary would once agian be Kipp. Tampa has way too many weapons going for them this post season with some spread out scoring it will prove tougher for kipp. He has proved himself thus far but i still say tampa. burn flames burn!

^ if Khabibulan is rock solid calgary is finished. No matter how good kippersof plays. Your right Tampa does have alot of depth up front.
GIve the edge in defence to calgary though, but contrary to what people say defense doesn't always win the games. Sometimes the best defence is offence. Ify ou can score 3 goals and let in 2 you still win no? Besides this is gonna be a rockin series regardless of just the scoring. Its gonna have hitting, speed, scoring and good goaltending to boat.

i think the trap is on its way out of the nhl i think after seeing tampa and calgary stomp other teams using the wide open offensive type play other teams will follow.on paper tampa should win but calgary has proved 3 times now that paper doesnt mean shit and in my gutt i think calgary will win.

^ i dunno though cause tampa was still unproven before the start of the playoff's they still surprised alot.
Ya they got 106 points yada yada but look at the division they were in the southeast division. the team that was second in their division was friggen atlanta with 78 points. They didn't even come close to getting into the playoff's. and the fact that their payroll is even less than calgary's. Yes with a $36 million payroll. Tampa pays even less than calgary at $38 million. I stilll think tampa will win it in 7

Still just one game. I said this after tampa got worked 6-2 and what did that lead to. Next game tampa came back and won 3-1, and eventually won the series no?
I think Tampa is just really nervous cause alot of their passes aren't as crisp as normal, and no this isn't an excuse I honestly think they were a little nervous. Still not gonna be a quick series. Tampa has shown in each series they can come back. They have yet to lose 2 games in a row
