its kinda funny/stupid .. how instead of saying "lets get retarded in here...." they had to change the lyrics to... "lets get it started in here".....

the "lets get started in here" is the nba playoffs official song. so it kinda works.

It's not muchmusic or any music station that made them change the lyrics.
Their record label told them that if they wanted to release it and have it played mainstream (during the day, not just @ night) then they'd have to change the lyrics. Listen to the radio during the day - it's ALWAYS let's get it started...the only time I ever hear let's get retarded is on Friday or Saturday nights after 10pm on the Beat.

Although I love the original version, I can understand why it could be extremely offensive to some people.
