^^ thats very true, at spooky 7 my ex told me that he was partying it up when this girl in a pink bunny rabbit costume with candy on came up to him and asked him if he had any e. and he had an extra cap so he's like might as well sell it. well he sold it to her and the girl ended up being an undercover cop and he got arrested. guess it just wasnt his night...that doesnt have to do much with what were talking about but the picture just reminded me of it

Believe it or not Cops do not bother to pick up flyers, read fnk or call infolines
Vancouver is a big city and there's lots going on. They don't have the resources to go around and hunt down raves. If they stumble across a party they'll bust it. Plain and simple

Thats the reason why Elevation didn't get busted although the adress was on the infoline. The police simply didn't stumble across it

Since they don't know what city it's in. New West Police don't care about parties in Vancouver, Vancouver police don't care whats going on in Surrey. Surrey Police don't care whats going on in Burnaby etc etc

The only person officer that would pick up a rave flyer is Scott Rintoulle and to my knowledge he has nothing to do with any parties being broken up.

could be true, but if they didnt stumble accross it, or at least know it was going on i'm pretty surprised... that block was crawling with 5-0, they busted me in my car while i was mixing a drink haha... luckily they were cool, and let me on my merry way (not without pouring all my alchy out) but nontheless, im assuming they had some idea it was going on... it was a very well organized party... and im sure thats why it didnt get busted...

but who knows, its quite possible that the cops just didnt know exactly where it was...

DON'T show up at the checkpoint or the party wearing a bright yellow hoodie. When you get _to_ the party, by all means wear as much bright flashy gawdy clothing as you want, but KEEP IT TIDY. Don't go around advertising "I'M GOING TO DO DRUGS AT A RAVE" to every single random person on the street. Keep your clothes discreet, don't wander around outside the party (PROMOTERS: Have a bloody smoking area where nobody can be seen from the outside).

More often than not it's the ravers that are every bit as responsible for a bust than the promoters.

Flyers are cool. Just about every single rave since the dawn of time has had flyers of some form, and a lot of them are very easy to be found. But have some kind of check to make sure that whoever's going to the party are people going to the party. If the partykids keep it tidy, the cops have _very_ little to go on. They can't just randomly search any kid that goes to the checkpoint. Shuttle Busses are also great because you can get a driver who knows how to take circuitous routes and lose the cops if they think they're being followed.

But seriously. Let's stop hating on the promoters and start cleaning up our scene already. You all can do stuff to make sure that the scene stays thriving, but it's not on the Promoters to make everything happen for you.

thats werid... me and like 5 of my friends got busted one time..(at insomnia'03) they just took our e away and ran a bunch of tests on us.. it was fucked up. im glad they didnt take us to jail. that wouldve sucked ass.

there is no correlation between not caring and lack of intellect.
