New Venues

hey if its new venues that are needed to keep the partying goin, then there lots of small venues around the aldergrove, abbotsford, chiliwack, and mission areas that could be suitable. Bradner hall could be used, its in a remote area away from most busy areas. If anybody else has any ideas let them be heard

coquitlam and new west are about as far as it could go.. It needs to be easily transit accessable, or else you'll lose out on a lot of attendees

2 years ago. Solace was created. It was in chiliwack thrown by some friends of mine. it was a pretty huge party with the most amazing sound i've ever listened to.

That party is in my top 5.

FYI: Summer Love used to be a weekend event out in boonie-land, and it ALWAYS went off. And look at Shambhala. It's in Nelson fer chrissakes.

I'm come over from the Island to go to raves, if its worth it y not rite a good party is worth traveling far for.

For outdoor parties that will most likely last longer than your mere 10pm-8am typical raves, I'm happy to travel.

If it's indoors, don't fucking make it some little community hall in Abbotsford. That's just hurting. There are plenty of warehouses around Eastvan. Find one with a "For Lease" sign outside.

Living on the island, I've journeyed for 3 hours upisland to get to parties. And making the trip to Van on the ferry to party takes a good 3 to 4 hours as well... I think getting to the party is 1/2 the fun! It helps build the anticipation.

Chilliwack isn't that far. Also I've partied on a friends barn in mission before.

Maybe fine people that have some way of accessing venue's by means of being associated with the person who owns/runs it.

Hell, living on the Island, I pretty much have to travel for good parties... either in one direction or another on the Island itself, or getting over to Van to party it up there...

If you can't be bothered to travel to get to a party, well, your loss...

Hell, getting the trips organized and actually getting there is all part of the experience... and usually hella fun.

I"ve always had to travel to any party weither it be a massive or a small underground, and i know alot of people who do too. The ride there is part of the adventure. i just threw a few ideas out there, so that parties might not be as likely to be busted up

Travelling for parties is no big deal. Hell, I grew up in Trail, and traveled to the Nelson/Winlaw area for parties all the time. Now I live in Grand Forks and I STILL travel to those parties out Nelson way. I also go to parties in Kelowna, Kamloops, Vancouver, and other areas around here.

A little travelling never hurt anyone. In fact, as someone else already mentioned, getting there is half the fun!

Whoever was being down on community halls....dude, there is nothing wrong with parties in Community Halls. Some of the best parties I've been to have been in community halls. If it weren't for them, there wouldn't even be a "scene" in the Kootenays.

Besides, if you want to throw a small, underground party, a community hall is a pretty stellar venue. Some of them have cool little rooms you could transform into chill rooms, most are set up for concession, and for ones with two levels....two stages, anyone?

most people agree that driving for a party is no big deal as long it's a good party when they get there, but think about the people who don't have cars or don't drive. i know some people can get rides while a lot others can't and now with these new N rules of only one passanger a long drive isn't worth it. once in a while it's not bad to go for a drive to the wack or whatever but if it's every weekend it gets to be a lot of gas, driving and wear on someones car..

I know how you feel, I'm an islander too... i go to the main land to party lots too!......


I think its time these selfish mainlanders get there lazy ass out to here and party island style! Thats why you all should come out for SSBB2! its gunna be amazing 24 hour rave wooot wooot! july 10th...... you wont regret it
