Cell phone stores?

so im on fido.. signed up for fido agreement (pretty much a contract), from that i got a cheap cell phone. lost it in 2 weeks..and since then ive been stuck with my old stupid 3390. fido's not offering me any deals for a new cell.. just curious if cell phone stores exist.. places where i can get cheaper cell phones than fido stores. im not interested in payin 350 for a cell phone when they have offers to new users for 25 dollars. ridiculous.

i dont do online shopping either..so ebay wont work.

or does anyone have a deace fido phone for sale?

what was the phone u lost bev? ill see if theres anything around. no guarentess though these things come and go but ill see if theres anything available at the moment

cell phones suck like that

i got one a few years ago in a pay and talk package it was like a little over a $100 including activation and $50 airtime and crap
i lost it 6 months later....they told me to get a new one... just the phone no package or anything (they werent offering that anymore) was going to be $350... and it was a total piece of shit phone... i promptly told them to go to hell and bought the current pay and talk phone for $70 including $50 airtime and crap... the phone was a piece of shit but it lasted me a couple months until someone called me and told me they found my phone...

i think its actually part of the cell phone company's plan to gouge people when they lose their phones... thats probably how they make their money.

winson- i lost the siemens...355 or whatever it was called. i hated the phone anyways... i just want a color screen phone so i look hip and cool. lettme know pleaseeee thanks!

cell phone companies definately want to scam ya when u lose ure cell phone.. grrz.

i got my friend to send me my cell from Italy.
SE T638... i got it for ~ $250 (no taxes)
its about 600 + tax here :)

.. just get it from another country. make sure its unlocked.. and u can hook it up with fido/or rogers.

Cell phones are so cheap since they are locked into a certain carrier who subsidizes the phone.

I paid $400US for my Treo 600 from Sprint (via eBay) and Rogers is asking $849 + tax + a activation contract when you buy the phone. The phone buy itself is over $1000 easy.

They make the money back on the airtime you use so that is why buying a handset only costs so much.

My advice is to go to eBay and buy an unlocked GSM phone as you can use any GSM carrier you want.

Just don't lose it! :p
