is this MY fault????!!
if someone calls you at 1 am when your asleep, tells you they've sent a taxi to your house (withought letting u know before doing this!!) and expects you to come up to there house, just because they have a "problem" which they pretty much caused themselves...are you being a bad friend by not going?? I don't think I was!!She hung up on me cuz of it too!
Anyway..I haven't talked to my best friend in about a week and a half because of this..I don't think I should be the one to apologize cuz I don't see what I did as wrong?

in a sense i would be mad
but on the other hand u have to look at it like maybe this was a time she really needed you (now i dont know the situation so dont get mad at me) and part of being an amazing best friend is being able to drop everything to be there for your other half......it totally depends on the situation and the friend but if my best friend called me i think i would go......just cuz it would have made her feel better and thats what being best friends is all about

^yeah I would have done it for my other best friend but this one is a bit nuts and just is actually so crazy!!! She expects so much of people who are her freinds its almost like people who are going out, man u should read some of the letters she has written me, its scary..

Depending on "the problem" that was extremely self centered of her to expect that you would just hop out of bed and scurry to her rescue, especially without even consulting you before sending you a ride.
There are certain situations that I'd expect a friend of mine to be there for me, as I would for them. But a little warning would be nice, and anything that could be dealt with later or over the phone should be.

Now if a friend called me and said "Man I need your help right now it's a life or death situation" then yeah I'd most likely go but if this happenend any other time they would recieve a big FU

you've already said that she exppects too much from you and other ppl maybe she needs to wake up and realize that the world doesn't revolve around her. I say don't apologize but try to talk to her and say that you want to be there for her but she needs to understand that sumtimes it just isn't possible to be there all the time

personally, in my major time of need, i called everyone i knew. but it was a life changing situation, and it wasnt 1 am. and i dint expect people to come, i just needed to talk.
anyways, your not a bad person or a bad friend, but you should explain to the person why you didnt go. you did the right thing.
