Why are there so many god damned Canadians in Australia?

Sometimes it seems that I can't turn around without running into a backpack with a mapleleaf on it, your serving me my coffee, pouring my drinks, extorting money from me in the guise of various charitys, basicly, If there is a shit job here in Oz there is a good chance there is a Canadian doing it.

And wots with the maple leaf on your backpacks anyway? Is it just your rampent nationalistic fervor or is it that you don't want to be mistaken for Americans.
Damn Canadians :202:

Why are there so many damn Austrailians in Canada (especially in BC)? I guess we can't help having wicked countries! If I go to any resort in the rockies chances are that an austrailian that's my liftie or pouring my coffee. Goes both ways bud. Plus if you're staying in a country that you don't plan on staying in too long who's going to hire you except for short term jobs (ie. coffee houses, ski resorts).

And who wants to be confused with an american anyways....? Even the americans put canadian flags on thier backpacks, jackets etc. They don't like to get yelled at....lol.

When I went to Europe all my American friends had Canadian flags on their backpacks and practised saying "eh" after all of their sentences in order to be more "authentic" Canadians.

yea it's ridiculous how so many canadians choose oz as a destination!

don't get me wrong, australia is beautiful and has a lot to offer...but come on! there are many other places just as nice!

...i heard oz is like canada but with funny accents and slutty girls. if i were to travel i'd choose somewhere a little more different then home, you know, to experience something NEW and DIFFERENT.

I think its kinda weird how sooo many canadians go to australia and vice versa, from what I've heard they are really similar. I would still probably go myself but it's interesting how people would want to travel somewhere that's the same as there own country in a way. That's just my outlook on it though,I'm sure others would disagree...

Australia is like canada, however there are a few differences:
-the people are nicer.
-its stupid hot and there are beaches everywhere.
-they take after the european life stye, more then the american.
-better clubs.
-really good funky house!
