Positive Results from my treatment!

I went for my fourth I131 mIBG therapy on the 8 & 9th, I finally got positive results! As the doctor and I examined the scans from January until July we noticed that certain tumors are getting SMALLER!!! There is no sign of new tumors, only signs that some are getting smaller!

I still have a long way to go, but getting positive news is so nice!!

Krista - it has been hard, but it's been good (well except a few wks) - I've had good people around me the whole time, they make everything so much better :)

first of all...all the power to you!its great to hear that u got a little good news...my grampa had cancer for 16 years and died a few years back (RIP) he used to drink this tea called flourescence...and our family relly thought that it helped...just thought id tell ya that...good luck with the rest or the therapy.... =)

Thanks everyone. It's hard for me to think that I've been dealing with this since I was so young (first diagnosed at age 4) - but as I said, a great support system -really- does help :D (and a little fnk too)

Having been there at your lowest lows makes being there for your highest highs even sweeter. :)

Thinking back to a year ago is almost surreal now. Being so close I can say that people cannot imagine what it's like unless you're actually there, all the time; and I am sure that I still cannot imagine what it's like to have it happening to me. Allie's gonna definitely win again, and I'm definitely gonna make sure of it. :)
