cheap date ideas

hey

my girl and i are both saving to travel, so i am trying to come up with some things to do that cost little to no $.
walks n the beach are played out, so dont say those.

i know there are some smart bastards on here, somewhere.......so ya, bring on the ideas.

go to spanish banks take candle & picnic basket, sit by the logs by the beach at nite.. its awesome, u can also see the stars!

see a movie for free:

find out when the pre-screenings of movies are (they have a lot in vancouver) and go to the theatre about fifteen minutes before the screening is supposed to happen. they usually push another movie out of that time slot so they can have the screening, so try to buy a ticket to the movie that is supposed to be playing in that slot. they'll tell you that the movie isn't playing at that time because there is a pre-screening going on of another movie. talk to the manager and tell them how you came all this way to see this movie and blah blah blah you can't see the late show and they'll probably let you into the prescreening without a special ticket.

i've done this several times now.

dinner for free:

go to a nice sit-down restaurant with your significant other (a girl works best) and get your food and when you're both almost done your meals have a big fight in the restaurant making sure that you get some attention from people around you and then have the guy storm out of the restaurant. they usually won't make the girl pay for the meal after that.

-rent old releases from the video store
-go to the bar...(get someone else to drive) have your girlfriend look extra hot...hvae her get guys buy her drinks...and have her pass half of them off to you
-volunteer at something (not really a date...but still something worthwhile..and fun while spending time together)
-walk the seawall
-go window shopping
-head to granville island
-see if anyone has an entertainment book and take the coupons they arent using so that you can do everything for 2 for 1
-watch the home movies ;)

-Take a walk or rollerblade around the sea wall.
-Go dancing
-Drive to a city you've never really been too and explore
-Make her dinner
-Go for ice cream
-Take little cousins or neices and nephews to a park. Kids almost always make anything fun!
