I always listen to sad because then I feel super sad and I can only cry for so long (Im melodramatic like that)
but I keep being told to listen to happy to be happy. (This makes no sense to me at all)

So...what do you listen to?

Yeah, I listen to sad and/or depressing music also when I am sad and/or depressed. I don't know why, it just helps.

WHen i'm sad i always listen to my really old depressing Cd's (like sopor & Mores sysphlitica, theater of Tragedy or some other Doom Metal Band. and stuff like that.)

When i'm angsty its always Ani Defranco, Jack off jill, Switch blade sysmphony.

when im depressed i usually listen to sad/depressing music .. thats what i feel like listening to and i guess it helps

but when im happy i cant stand that shit cuz it would ruin my mood

See, that's weird cause even when I listen to it when I am happy, it doesnt bring me down.

im not speakin in general .. theres some depressing sad stuff that doesnt bring me down when i listen to it

but then theres some that kills me .. especially if i havent listened to it in a while .. those songs i just totally ignore when im in a good mood

You gotta listen to the happy music, its kind of like forcing yourself to feel better. It's hard to stay all depressed when you listen to happy music, it makes you feel better. Listening to sad music you just get more and more depressed.

Always try with something happy/positive/upbeat.

If I'm sad and then say something like radiohead, the smiths or portishead comes into play then it's all sadville, population Myra. It could get ugly!

um. when i'm sad, i listen to sad music. i listen to music that'll suit my mood usually. happy music when i'm sad just annoys me and makes me angry.
