no more Robson Skating rink =(

i was watching the news this evening....... the downtown Robson Street skating rink is NO MORE =( i had been wondering about that~ downtown yesterday i peeked down at the arena to see if it was iced over yet.
well, the Liberal Provincial government has decided under the "core review" that the Provincially (not municipally) funded arena is not worth spending money on.

the city of vancouver has NO intention of icing it over.

unless a corporate sponsor wants to invest in it~ it's gone the way of the dodo.

but it continues to collect water so that skateboarders and bladers can't use it.

that's lame. go NO FUN CITY!!!!!

ps~ not that i ever used the rink, it was a nice perk for this suck hole city.

i thought that the skating rink had been shut down for a few years....
