I can go from

Ambient -> minimal techno -> Banging techno - > progressive trance - > Uplifting trance - > Acid techno - > GOA trance - > dnb -> freeform.

start off slow and minimal and work yourself into loud and crazy.

I just started learning recently. Although I enjoy most forms of Electronic Music, I think I'm going to spin Breaks as they can be enjoyed at and outside of these "Rave Parties" I keep hearing about. I just picked up 8 rekkids this afternoon too. :)

if you need to ask what kind of music you should spin it makes you think that maybe your only spinning to look cool. if you love music so much it shouldn't be a question i mean do people that say they love music ask what cd's they should put in thier walkman? no. pick the music you like personally and the style that best suits your taste, no one elses because if you pick on what other people tel lyou to chances are you're not going to like it and the novilty will soon ware off.

Something that could really help you is to play around with some MP3 djing programs a bit. They'll give you a sense of how to make mixes that flow without having to blow huge amounts of money on vinyl and mixing gear.

On top of that, it'll let you integrate some crazy stuff and develop a unique style.

are you serious? you should set some more realistic goals dude.

and d he hasn't even found "quote" what music genre to spin.
