wedding gifts

so im going to a wedding at the end of this month and im stuck on a gift.

i used to work with this girl for 2 years...and have known her for about 3.

we're good friends, not super close...but good friends.


my dilemma..

i dont know if i should buy her something off the registry or go for something more creative.

for one of my other friend's weddings, i gave them a beautiful wood picture frame...with a silver plate on it and engraved it with their names.

and gave them 30 bucks towards their first family picture (they were expecting a baby at the time as well)


but i dunno..
if it was you would you rather get something off of the registry...or something creative...something unique...

help!

I say registry.... most of the time the stuff on the registry are items they kind of need to set up their happy home so to speak.

Creative gifts are great for birthdays but the registry is the way to go for the wedding.

PS - Don't buy the $80 towels at the Bay because they're registered there.... by the $30 ones at Sears and save your money... the Bay = teh uber-overpriced!
