i can honestly say i could care less about brand names... i dont buy stuff because it has some lable on it.. I dont even own anything brand name.. hahaha

thing is, there are certain types of clothing that i like and can only find in "brand name" stores. i was looking for a simple sundress type of clothing for the summer but the only one i found that i really liked and fitted me (god knows i have problems with taht) was at BCBG. and fuck, i've never paid so much for one item of clothing before

thats not really the case when you get into the higher end shit...sure they still spend way more on marketing then anyhting else because thats just the name of the game when youre tlaking about fashion and shit..but at the same time each designer has a distinct style and to justify the high preice the clothing will be hand made and the materials sourced will be of a higher quality.

beleive it or not but there is a difference in the fit, feel, look(that is not simply mental) between a handmade italian suit made out of silk,cashmere etc and a wool suit made by a machine that you bought at moore's for a hundred bones.
