the cake sucks. i dont know what the big deal about them was. my dad brought home a whole teri cake and after we tried it for the first time my dad turned to me and said in chinese "wtf, this is what people are finding so crazy. lame"

dont get me wrong its not nasty. but from what i've been hearing for the longest time (pretty much from chicks) its way off.

Tiramisu is an Italian cake, it has coffee, cream and liquor in it, and it's really really good. I find that the best tiramisu is usually served in Italian coffee shops.

my tiramisu is the best tiramisu you'll ever have.

...with real mascarpone cheese, lady fingers soaked in coffee liqueur.. and a bit of cocoa powder sprinkled on top.. and it's so easy to make.

maybe your dad brought home some storebought crap. Most places just use cake mix instead of lady fingers and use cream cheese instead of real mascarpone and it ends up tasting like any other cheap cheesecake.

"Mascarpone is a triple-creme cheese, made from a generally low-fat (25%) content fresh cream. It's made from the milk of cows that have been fed special grasses filled with fresh herbs and flowers -- a special diet that creates a unique taste often described as "fresh and delicious."

You can probably find the cheese it at any italian market.. it's so good.
