interesting...
So today I was walking home after work. I saw this homeless person clearing his change he had received from people off the floor and headed towards subway. He held the handle and almost pulled the door open. But then he stopped and thought for a second. He looked at his change again and walked in the Subway. Few seconds after, he came out again. He gazed at his change again and started counting a sum, and gave it to the bum sitting across Subway. He then crossed the street and headed for the 99Cents pizza…
It was sweet, and sincere. It is he who understands the power of hunger, and thirst. He knows what it feels like to sleep with an empty stomach. Now I don’t care if homeless people are homeless because they have made bad decisions in their lives or not. In conclusion, they are homeless. And they are humans. This scene today totally changed my perspective on homeless people. I reached in my pockets and I had nothing to offer them. However, I feel obligated to hit them tomorrow before work. Because if a homeless person is willing to donate half of his belongings in the threshold of hunger, surely I can do a small part.

Good friend of mine , never gives the homeless money or change. But everytime he passes one, he'll walk right into the nearest food store, and buy him a meal. Always an inspiration, and I can't believe he always does it.
Needless to say takes a fucking long time to walk down the block on Granville :p .

ya, i've actually done that b4..got someone a meal, it feels better to give em actual food then money, cuz u'r never too sure what their gonna do with it

1 thing i find messed up about the "homeless" in victoria...
i'd always see them asking for money, then later on that day/nite i'd see em in the arcade...using their money they "earned" playing fucking video games...lolz, wtf?

the things about most "bums" in vic.. is theyre not real bums....
like half of them are run away kids who actually live in uplands... and are just being stupid. the bums in van are real actual bums... they need money for food! but i know what you talkin about.

in van they bums are there 24-7....the island..their there...until the last bus goes, then they head to their homes..or friends houses or whatever..they jus do that to try to make some cash..its stupid.. and yes, video games are addictive..but if u were homeless, wouldnt u wanna buy food instead of play games?

we're talking bums who don't eat for days. their brains don't even function too well to realize they need to shoot up. hunger is worse than addiction. addiction is just cravings for another dose. hunger is pretty much a disfunction in your whole body system. can't think, can't walk, can't do anything. not eating is like not breathing. its too hard. Im sure many people die off hunger because of addictions. Just as much as people who get so high that they decide to peel their face off. sure. but those are rare cases.
