I just finished moving out of that fucked up, disconnected from the rest of the city, place they call Richmond.
No more being a visible minority for me :D.

Richmond is a pretty nice, clean suburb. It doesn't really have the trashy quality that Surrey rocks, and it's pretty close to Vancouver..

Well here's the thing I found with Richmond... you either live in a mini mansion... or you live in a mouse hole. I was in a mouse hole.

The Coquitlam, PoCo, PoMo area is pretty nice. I love it here....

Newport Village is PoMo is super nice... thats my neighbourhood

i still have at least another year in richmond. it's not that bad here though, like natalie said. it's always so clean and there is reletively little to worry about, besides the expensive cost of living.

the one bad thing i have to say about it is that ever since they have been kicking people out of the downtown eastside there have been so many crackheads, bums and skids here. especially around richmond center.

ok im gonna explain my hate..

i guess i dont like living here becuase ive been here all my life and its just getting boring and living in steveston just makes it 10x worst. its hard to commute to places, and yes there is transit, but transit takes a fuckin long time from steveston to get ANYWHERE. ummm i guess i do like the fresh air and how everything is on no. 3 rd and ure garenteed a lil mall with a grocery store/gas station/fast food every block. meh.. time for change.

I love Richmond. Great restaurants, decent shopping, and I live 5 mins from the club where I've been spinnin' for 2 years. Also great for going to and from the airport, can't beat that! Only 2 bad streets for traffic during the day, other than that I have no complaints. I could see how some people would think it 'sucks', if you didn't have a car or know the right people.

I personally like richmond, never lived there, but its nice to visit every so often... lots of cool places to go to but at the same time calm and comfortable... like the child of delta and vancouver...
