saw this front page of the province today

doesnt look like it did much though as they are not "shut down" and i believe the store is open once again today....

i know! let's raid a store that's run by a harmless 40 year old woman and not even touch the other stores in the area that are very obviously run by organized crime and sell many other drugs than pot. oh yeah while were at it, lets bug a bunch of hippies who are openly smoking pot and leave alone the hard-core skid row addicts up the block who are openly smoking crack.

Obviously this was going to happen - it was on the national news, and then there was an article on the front page of the Sun yesterday about how the Provincial government was 'outraged.'

Public pressure is hard to bear, the city and cops had to act. I have a feeling the place is going to be shut down pretty soon. It was a few years ahead of its time. I guess, though, that you have to have a few people 'ahead of their time' to make 'their time' ever come. Things are changing socially regarding pot, it's just going to take a little longer.
