Small town ravers = the best ravers???

Now, why is it that, at apex, every single soul that I met that embodyed the "raver spirit" was from a small(er) place. Now, I understand there is more than one way to show "raver spirit". There are the junglers that sit and stare, the jaded ravers who hate the noobs because they are still happy, and the clubbers who simply come for the music.

Now answer me a question:

Where is the person that you know that best captures the "rave spirit" live?

Coming from a small town, I can answer this easily.

Fact of the matter is, in a small town, there aren't enough individuals to form into social cliques; you are either a fan of EDM in general, or aren't, just because there isn't as many options available to cultivate narrow-minded tastes. Everyone I knew in Rupert liked everything: house, trance, jungle, breaks, whatever. Some styles more than others, of course, but it didn't limit our interest in it (well, except when the Terrace DJs ended up playing so much bloody fuckin' anthem trance that it would even piss off Tiestin van Corstenfold).

Bottom line is us small towners don't have huge expectations for parties because very rarely can we throw an uber-rave and get away with it; heck, it's rare to be able to throw a legal rave-dance as it is, making them quite similar to the underground parties of yore in execution. Most of the kids out here in the large cities I've noticed, though, have been so spoiled by the Plaza massives that anything less is unacceptable.

I always found alot of islanders to be fun loving individuals. Key word being individual. They chose to like what they wanted, not what others liked. They always seem to be happy, of coarse there are those who aren't but as awhole i found the partiers out there are always in good moods.

^generally,junglists are nice people. I find that more so the junglists from toronto have a big head as opposed to the ones from BC.

I'm from THE most isolated Place in B.C. and I go to enjoy myself and usually do unless I've just worked 10 hours and am tired as hell. I find that most other people that grew up in small towns are generally nicer overall.
