wut's up with parents these days?
i woke up today thinkin i wuz gonna go out ......parents said i go out too much...so my mom suggests just rent a movie n call ur cuzins over......i said aite....next thing u kno .....and a couple hours later my mom goes no u can't rent a movie.....lol.....wtfffffffff......so i ended up spendin my time at home on a friday nite...:(

Wow dude that fuckin sux... my parents R harsh wierd, 1 minute they love u & R all nice tha next they rip ur head off.... & my mom n dad R complete opposites -((( me n my dad DONT get along)))- my dad wont even let guys stay overnight @ my house, not even if they sleep in a totaly different room or on tha couch. My mom doesnt care she loves my b/friend but she'll say shyt 2 me & then deny ever saying it when the topic comes up & my dad's there... my dad is a total bible thumper... lyke im talking ned flanders styles...
Well maybe not that bad - even he freaks out n gets scary 2 b around... but NEways ---> I'm planning on talking 2 my parents (my mom b4 my dad lol) 2 ask if my boyfriend can move in & me n him rent out my BASSment where I'm already living - Im hoping that'll change things around & we wont have 2 park 2 blocks away & hide while my dad gets ready 4 work n have 2 sneak around the house... hopefully all will work out - cuz I LOVE my room n i dun wanna have 2 move out in2 sum shitty 1-2 bedroom apartment-I'm still a young'n hehe Wish me Luck!

On the other hand guys, don't forget that they are trying to watch out for you too. It means they care, which is cool 'cause a lot of kids out there don't have parents that give two sh*ts about what they do and where they go.
Even though my parents seemed like jerks sometimes, when I look back I'm grateful at times that they were there to watch my back. Just my $0.02

Well... that is there job... 2 have some level of control over their kids - - -
however I would'nt say we let them have 2 much control over us, they Rnt really controlling us if 4 Xample U still go b-hind their backs against their wishes & U have ur gurlfriend/boyfriend sleep over. When U sneak them in - try hard 2 be quiet & hide when they come in2 ur room - U have still disobeyed them right? ... Iono, I'm still young & lack some important responsibilities which is whut ur parents R there 2 help U out with ... 2 bail u out kinda thing ... I still need my mom around & I'll treat her the way she treats me ---> if she wants respect, she can give me sum respect. If I don't lyke 1 of their rules - it's their house - & If Im tha 1 complaining about then Y don't I just leave?

you don't say how old you are, but my recommendation is, think about what it's like to live on your own. if you think it's worth it, then do it!
i moved out when i was 16, and despite the hard times, i'm better off for it , than if i had stayed.... but think looooong and hard before making that decision.

If your not happy with your parents just buckle down, work hard and move out... after years of family hell at my house, im JUST about ready to move out. and im not talking having to stay home on a friday night hell, im talking about some pretty traumatic shit that people dont need to hear about. But when i was young i delt with that by lashing out, going out and partying 24/7 and never coming home, and making some really bad life choices, especially fucking up my GPA in college... but now im finally buckling down, studying alot, full-time job lined up, and most likely living on my own by christmas, and believe me there is nothing more satisfying then being responsible. Especially knowing that harder you work the farther you'll go.. point of the story is parents can be a bitch , which gives you more reason to get the fuck up outta there!!

my parents say i'm treating the house like a hotel room.... i love my mom but i hate my step dad.... he's the one that's always complaining, and not letting me go out.. but i end up leacing anyway

I love my parents they're great.
You need to realize that they've been supporting you for the last 17 years. Big deal, you didn't get to rent the movie you wanted wah wah.. suck it up seriously! Think about how much they've done for you, how much time they've dedicated to raising you and learn to appreciate that instead of whining.
