Wellll

I could yap on about this for hours. All the work I do is for MSP.

I'm gonna bet most people on this site are like 'oh, I'm just covered because I live in Canada" and "Healthcare in Canada is free!"

siigh.

To answer, I pay my own premiums, and I don't buy any private extended benefits.

http://www.healthservices.gov.bc.ca/msp

all MSP insures is basic medical (doctors, hospital, etc.)

prescriptions are covered through fair pharmacare (no cost, free to reg.)
dental, etc. are all covered through optional private insurance through companies like bluecross, maritime life, etc.

ps- seriously, don't worry about asking me questions. I've got a fucking plethora of knowledge when it comes to that stuff because I've been working with it for almost two years..I like helping people out with this because it's alarming that all people are required to be a part of it in this province, but there is so little understanding...
