Any CCG players out there?

I'm sure that many of us have yet to give up our inner geek persona... I know I'm one of them. I was just curious if anyone played collectible card games anymore (ie: Magic, the Gathering)

I recently started playing one that totally fulfills my need for all things GEEK. It's a CCG based on the world of comic books. As of right now there are cards based on the Marvel and DC franchises but all sets are totally interchangeable... you can play Marvel and DC characters together. It's called the VS System... pretty cool. If anyone out there has heard of it or plays it.... let me know. I have nobody to play with :(

i played magic when i was 11... still have a deck SOMEWHERE.. but who knows... my ex played games like that, and its so time consuming and boring as a spectator i would never wanna put anyone through that again!

Played MtG with friends, but never broke down and bought any cards. Tried a few others as well, but never really got into them, and never played any of the ones you listed.

As well, if anyone is interested in playing but doesn't have the cards I have more than enough cards to build at least two to four decks. That way you can give it a try :)

I used to have tonnes of mtg cards but I sold them all to a friend.. woudnt mind playing a game though. From what I remember it was pretty fun

Yup, I play all the time actually (Magic). The inner geek in me comes out from time to time, all my friends know that. My collection is worth about 24,000 US.

oh man i use to suck at magic... i was so young and didn't know how to strategize my games. i still got my deck though haha its all back from like 1994.

everyone on my street use to play back in the days. Now we're all 20 - 25, some of them were pretty damn good.

hey kandy kid, how is your collection worth 24000$ how much did you spend over the years of collecting?

I started in Mercadian Masques, I put into it about 8000$ CDN, so a profit of about 19,000 US. The prices of oldies just accumulates over the years, youd be suprised what people pay for this cardboard on ebay.

yea there too many new editions and crazy ass cards... i wonder if old decks can beat the new things coming out

when i was 11/12 i used to play magic all the time. There's a box in my closet with (about) 1500 cards in it. Free to a good home/10 year old.

I have 3 sets of P9, and 8 Libraries, one set of P9 is beta and that is an easy 8000$ alone. The unl ones will be about 4000$ each, plus infinite decks and other old goodies :)

24000 is a low ball offer, i deducted about 2000$ for personal bias

I still play quite a bit actually, bout once a week or so, its really fun actually, and the more impared you are, the more fun it gets :)
