So last weekend I made my way up to the Lonsdale Company Boardshop in North Van last and purchased myself a lovley new plank.Yes, this baby is going to allow me to bomb down some serious hills....however, im still trying to overcome speed wobbles..and hope my ankles get used to the sensation. I was originally going to get a landyachtz but then decided to go with a
Rayne longboard Vice deck (oh the irony with the name eh) on Canadian Maple, some nice wide tracker trucks..(would have preffered randals' but hey)..some 70mm Kryptonic wheels..it's about 40" in length and took me out about $240..but I managed to get a nice plump discount due to my "connections" muhahaha...It was great..as soon as I started cruzin around downtown it's like I entered this realm....And on a beautiful day it sure beats walking.
I like it more then my regular shortboard, just because I mainly used that one for transporting myself. Anywhoo, im loving it..and I highly reccommend a longboard to anyone seeking a rush and a sweet ride. Now that the snowboard season is approaching I wont get out on it as much as I would like, but hey...Im going to salvage each day I have left untill it's time to bundle myself up in gear.
And to my fellow longboard-ees of fnk...yeeow! I share your love.
