Me as a person:
"Yeah, Sykonee's a great person to talk to."

Of a physical nature:
"She thinks you got a nice ass." (made me blush like a school girl, dammit!)

Of my craft:
"Sykonee, I must say you are better than any professional author! I hope I don't sound too extreme, but your skill surpasses that of Stephen King and J.K. Rowling! Keep up the good work."
I've gotten many emails like this of varying lengths but this one threw me for a loop.

Sure, I've gotten many other compliments in the past that would feed an ego wonders but I rarely let things go to my head. I'm glad people enjoy what I do and how I can help them but I'll probably remain humble 'till the day I die.

I have two!

One was from a very special friend, we were talking about being vegetarian, and he said "I think after we die we're going to be stuck in a room with all the animals we've eaten throughout our lives. I'm going to be in a room with a looooot of chickens.....maybe I should eat you so I could spend enternity with you!" haha weird I know, but I liked it.

And the other one was from another special friend who is very religious and he wrote me a poem saying "if my enlightenment were the growth of a plant, you would be my sunshine." melted me a little :)

The one that really sticks out for me, was one I got from a friend.
He doesn't generaly say anything nice to anyone. So I was shocked when he said it.
It sounds like an insult but comming from him it was really nice.
He just came up to me one day and said. "lauren. I just want you to know. I only find you ugly on the outside." I thought it was cute. I gave him a big hug, and he told me he wanted to puke. awwwww

One that I can remember is actualy from ppcock (of all people). At the first party I played at in Van. He said something along the lines of "your a wickid DJ".

Made me feel a little less nervous... especialy since I was told over and over again before I moved out here I might as well sell all my records and spin Breaks.
