What to use to protect your computer from spywear/virus's??

I just had to re-set my whole computer from an over load of virus/spywear etc... so Id like to get somthing set up thats gonna help me out in protecting my computer... prefably free?

any advice?

for spy-ware i would reccommend ad-aware.. free and gets rid of alot of shit.

I bought ZoneAlarm Pro. Has all that shit.. firewall, ad-ware, pop-up blocker, etc...

I also have a hardware based router/firewall at home.

Well if you dont wanna roll out any of the dough,.

I'd first go on your kazaa, lite and download Zone Alarm Pro and also Norton Anti Virus the newest version's.

Its pretty easy to get the full versions just make sure to download the version that says it either has the serial key included or crack, just make sure to scan these once you download them to make sure they dont have any virus's.

Also use a web based Virus scanner once in awhile,

www.f-secure.com or www.trendmicro.com and do there free online scan, they seem to pick up a lot of things.

dont just get 1 virus scanner and 1 spyware checker go with a minimum of 2 of each cause they will pick up different things.. Rhia if you want hit me up on MSN I will help ya out..

adaware and spysweeper work well together.....and id also get norton 2004....tht should be more than enough ....if u need any of them jsut add me on msn

Norton Internet Security... it's what I've used for Years with no problems. Ad-Aware for Adware is great too.
