hip hop + metal --> children of bodom, inflames carcass that kinda stuff

i don't get why some people say they only listen to "underground' hip hop.. there's tons of good hiphop in and outside of the underground, why limit yourself.

underground hip-hop, metal, classical, opera, classic rock, ska, blues, jazz.

I listen to anything and everything really. I'm just more picky about what I listen to inside certian genres then others. Even in electronic.

The only thing I will not listen to is country. And yes, I did give it a chance.

is hip-hop still underground?

i thought "underground" was just a new marketing term for all under-commercialised music.

yeah i agree, lyrics are very important. and i pretty much can't listen to something with shitty lyrics. all im sayin is there are some respectful groups above it, like k-os, talib kweli, mos def, roots etc

what i wanna know is who makes beats for g-unit, i mean, the lyrics are brutal but i have respect for whoever is makin the beats.

I guess what I mean by "underground". Is the stuff that's slower, dosen't have music videos, better lyrics and isn't an insult to my intelligence.

no one said you had to listent to everything.... it's music mang! if it sounds good then listen to it... why reject other forms of music just becasue it's not electronica or what you regularly have on rotation... listening to rave music 24/7 would prolly turn me into a paranoid schytsophrenic either that or REALLY FUCKING BORING!

you gotta just open yourself up, dude...

and robb... my dad was always about the calssic rock, but i gave him a copy of pete rock - petestrumentals and he was a convert since then.

good music is good music.
