Holy shit my dad just called me and told me that there was a shooting down at Gleneagle. aperently a teacher was shot and 2 students have been hurt.

the school is surrounded by a swat team or something and in lockdown in the gym... the radio doesn't say what happened but says no one was hurt and didn't mention anything about a shooting.... also my cousin who is inside the school told her parents who told my parents who told me no one knows what happened

i wonder if ashley's dad has an inside source and know that there was a shooting...

and maybe the new is trying not to put everyone in a panic by saying that there was just threats...

I drove by there about 20 minutes ago and saw the parents lining the sidewalks around the school. What a terrible thing to wonder whether or not your kid is okay.

There wasn't a shooting.... apparently there was some sort of threat of violence that could have been extremely serious. 4 hours of lockdown in the gym and the SWAT team investigating the school..... pretty crazy.

According to all major news outlets someone was taken into custody and nobody was hurt. Details about exactly what the threat was, have yet to be released.

*edit* The news just reported that a phone-in threat was made to a teacher but the student who made the threat was apprehended by police at Broadway and Cassiar in East Van. The school was under lockdown due to the fact that the police had no idea where the student who made the threat might be.

it seems like the rcmp are trained to face serious havoc.... and since serious havoc rarely ever happens, they have to treat every situation like its serious havoc since theyve got nothing better to do

Jeez i went to gleneagle for a couple of years myself, and I still know some people that go there that are younger with me.

Thank goodness it wasn't a shooting.

the worst that happened when i was there was a mechede being pulled out in class - some guy was showing it off to his buddies.
this is just awful. the school is totally on a decline when it comes to its community. its really really sad. but wonderful that no one was hurt.

port moody\coq police dont fuck around. after a couple of grow-op bust directly next door to my house there was finally a serious bust - a man had a gun to a babies head. we had snipers in the forest across the street and in houses across the other street. there were cops in our back yard guns out, and then they brought in the guys in full gear with the big shield thing and dogs and guns bigger than me. it was fucked up, no one got hurt, and it was only 2 hours of negociation. a backpack full of coke was brought out of the house. it was crazy shit.

centennial was closed down and ERT team came and locked the school down cuz of a bomb threat

The guy that pulled the machede. I wonder if its the same guy that pulled it at i think it was senior as well or moody junior *now port moody middle*.

but ya i remember hearing about that. Me and my mom, dad and sister were all just a little surprised to find out what went down at our old house.

man violence is seriously everywhere now. gleneagle had threats of a colombine a couple of years ago when i went there too, but it just turned out to be a rumour.
