Interesting site where they created a map of springfield by using the information within all the episodes.

The mapping of Springfield began in the Spring of 2001 when we realized that no adequate map of Springfield existed either online or in print. Initially the content was collected from the City Profile and Springfield Vacation pages at The Simpsons Archive, but it has since been expanded by numerous viewings of most episodes of The Simpsons.

Wow very intresting.... Im sure someone was paid big money who actualy disigned much of springfield (who works for the simposn show) Since yes ive noticed too the town is consitently veiwed the same evry episode it seems.

Its funny cause I found this site from my instructor at school who used this as an example if "Information Arcitecture" ( grouping/sorting/ordering info ). Im talking a web design course.

Theres one in Oregon, Illinois, Missouri, Ohio, Massachusetts, Georgia, New Jersey, Vermont, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania & Colorado.

That's probably why they picked that name for the show cause there's a Springfield in almost every second state.
