Are ravers more bitter now, or back in the day?

To complement/contrast with the other thread.

Are things /REALLY/ worse, or is the whining just more visible?
My perspective comes from seeing lots of people in all areas and walks of life saying /everything/ (from computers to the economy to religion to people themselves, to food, TV, cars, entertaimnet) used to be better and how it's now just flooded with mindless crap all over.

I think they've either become disillusioned, have overdone it, or just had bad experiences in the given area. I barely joined up here and I've seen many times people whining about how the forums 'used to be better'. And I don't expect those threads will ever stop. The names will just change, that's all. Same with raves. And with all the other people mentioned previously.
