Nice! Great photos, too. My girlfriend has that same camera.

We used to get some serious northern lights in Calgary - but we lived downtown, so light pollution made them hard to see most of the time. The time-lapse photos are beautiful, but don't do justice to a sky full of them moving and shimmering. :)

I actually got to see some this summer up at Kalamalka Lake!

They were not nearly as intense as the ones in the photograph, but it was still really really cool. Especially to see them that far south.

^^^ take a road trip up to my parts ashes there out every nite now for a few months. they get pretty intense too, the best time is around april.

nah ive driven from fort nelson to van in one day took like 20+ hours of straight driving but we did it, for you probly close to 30hours hahaha.

When I lived in Inuvik it was spectacular, when you're that far North they actually change colours. hardstylin is right, I remember Quading along the Alaska Highway and seeing the Aurora.

^there's a pretty good one going on right now. It's blue/green/pink and covering most the sky.

pretty to watch
they make good pictures
they're romantic and shit yo

somtimes they're no better then a low grade light show.

I remember seeing the northern lights in Duncan about 3 or 4 years ago... It was pretty crazy... you could pretty much see it everywhere, just a pulsing purple sky dancing to whatever music was playing in the ears of the cosmos, I guess.

Nature always provides the trippiest visuals.

I've seen faint ones twice in my life.

Once was about 6 or 7 years ago in Kits of all places (big party that had piles of drunk people out on the front lawn when they found out), and once in Saskatoon when I was there for a family reunion in July 5 years ago.

Both times it was more like moving, disattached smoke; no colours, and not very intense. I'd love to see it in all it's glory. :)
