Is it ski/boarding season in Whistler in Dec?

I guess this question is for all you avid ski/boarding peeps... Is Whistler/Blackcomb open and slammed/busy come the first week in December? Mr. Czech was kind enough to book me for that weekend so I was wondering if that's when the season will have actually started and so it will be really busy.

When the slopes open the diehards will hit it up early in the season. The place should be in full swing by December as tourists will have arrived and more snow will have fallen by then.

I plan to hit it up a couple of times before the New Year rolls in.

I just can't wait to play up there when the season is actually running! Lots of happy peeps coming off the mountain.

myles and i were chit chattin and thinkin about organizing a gathering with the combinations of... mountain with snow + elite ppl + snowboarding + place to stay + hot tubbing + liquor. hehehe

kraig if ure playin in whistler.. no matter what season it is it'll fill up. like come onnnn!

I LOVE playing in Whistler... but it has me excited that I am heading back up to play during the season.

whistler blackomb is like RIDICULOUSLY busy in december, to get a cabin or whatever u have to book it like months in advance, ESP. around x-mas time!

Early December is actually relatively inexpensive and not that busy. Christmas Break inversely is over priced and over crowded. A great time to go up would be the first weekend after NYE (Jan 7th-9).
