Attn!! People with cell phones:
I am looking for a new cell phone and company. Currently i have Fido and since they are turning into Rogers pretty much.. i want a new one.
My questions are: What cell company are you with? do u like it? Are your bills what they are supposed to be every month? How is the service? What camera phones are really good?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Well I had a Fido phone before, then when I heard you could trade it in for a free camera phone at telus i went for it. I just got my first bill and when i opened I almost passed out, It was a $125. When I called to ask why it was so much they said its cuz there was a whole bunch of activation fees and stuff like that but my next months bill will be alot smaller than this one. But other than that its a pritty good company, i get reception everywhere, and the camera on my LG phone is pritty good.

uhmmmm like im with fido too and i spoke with the dudes and they were like "basically the merger will give fido customers better reception"

im on fido.. on the new $25 dollar unlimited incoming plan..and it seems to be working really well. (if ure mintures are up..just tell the person to call back, no hassle) i like fido.. customer service is pretty good as well.. its super easy to pay online. no complaints. i have the ericson z600 and its a great camera phone.. no zoom or anything fancy, but the cam is just a toy anyways.. dont rely on it to be ure "all purpose cam".. its totally low res.

Are your bills what they are supposed to be every month? Usually a little over, but I talk and text WAY too much How is the service? I have no complaints. They have always been really good to me. I get good reception everywhere, except White Rock, but I hear that's common. What camera phones are really good?? I don't own a camera phone Additional: I'm on a corperate plan w/ Rogers bc I work for Richmond School District, which is $20/month unlt eve/wknd and 150 wkdy mins, so I have a pretty sweet deal. I believe my plan is reg. $45. So that, and my number (it's clever and easy to remember) and good customer service keeps me with Rogers. They have reversed charges for me, reimbursed me for stuff, bent rules on changing plans etc. Anyways, that's where I'm coming from...

they let u use the fido towers for free they will be commin out with the motorola Razr V3 on january 26th ive been with rogers for a bout 5 years now and ive had no problems with it

Im with Rogers and havnt been too pleased. I duno I pay about $60 a month for unlimited weekends/evnings, 350 min a month, and enhanced voice mail. Thats way too much :/
Anyways what really bugs me is at first I lost my phone two weeks after I bought it. Rogers coudlnt do anything except sell me a phone at retail price, so I borrowed an old firends phone and had to pay $30 to re-conect. After 6 months they sold me a "Refurbished phone" for $50-$70... think they were nice and didtn charge a new conection fee? Well that phone was fine, I took good care of it untill I returned after a month in Thialand and the phone would just not turn on? Im like 7 months away from ending my contract. Ive called Rogers, Nokia, gone back and forth tot he store and they have nothign to offer exctept retail price wich realy bugs me. Ive been a costomre for a long time and I cant get any kind of deal on a phone? After I bougth a refurbished phone that Rogers obviousely didnt fix up properly? Anyways... I can get a discount for a phone now ony if I sign up for an other 2 yr contract. This kinda pissis me off and I feel black maled. Otherwise I guess it's jut bad luck :(

im with fido.....i think i might go with telus if i have to but i hav had a bad experience with rogers my phone bills came up to like 80 bucks a month! i hate the /minute billing!

rogers and ido are going to remain seperate companies with seperate rate plans and different handsets. the only thing merging between the companies is the networks, which means better service all around. stay with fido, the service is only going to get better :)

Currently still with rogers.
Service is great Reception is great (obvious depending on what phone you have) Personal opinion on what phones are good - Telus, Fido, Rogers, personally all the phones that these 3 companies carry in BC rite now i would say no to pretty much all of them. 50% + of them are super ugly, the rest are avg at best. Buying a cell phone from a chinese store all the way. Current phone - discontinued Samsung S307 but perhaps soon to be Inno 55

I think every wireless provider has good and bad things out about them. Margie, I really think you'll just hafta go with your gut. Look at plans, look at prices and then decide from there. You're getting lots of back n forth on here. Some people like Rogers, some hate it. Depends on your experiences with them. I know my ex had HUGE problems with FIDO, but some people think they are the way to go. Do some shopping around on your own is what I'd suggest, and I guess consider what people have said on here.

Im on Fido with a Sony Ericsson T310 (discontinued) and it sucks major cock. First off my phone was decent at the time, but its TERRIBLE for reception. Also, the area im in has like NO reception when on Fido (tested with other cells still no reception). Im probably going to switch to Telus or Rogers. One of my brothers is with Rogers and has a Motorola V600 and he loves it, he has their customer service isnt the best though, and my other brother has an LG phone not sure what model and he is on Telus, and he says they have amazing coverage when it comes to reception, and he hasnt had any problems with customer service.
Fido is cheap, but lacking in reception, Rogers and Telus are more expensive, but better reception, and pretty much all the phones are shitty so buy one from Hong Kong or China and get it connected with Telus or Rogers. :D

im with bell, and so far no problems
have been on contract for over a month, yet no bill.......? i have never had a service problem i have a Samsung a680. its fun, for the novelty of it all.the flash is trash(heh), and the camcorder is alright. its fun though i guess. besides the camera shit, the phone is awesome.i recommend it fully.

weird ive never had a problem with rogers service
ive threatened to change providers and they gave me one whole year of service free unlimited everything free now the year is up thats it havent had any probs at all reception i find is wicked now cause of the rogers/fido towers rarely i find myself with less than half bars on my phone
