my personal fav of pics like that is the one of the Merc CLK-GTR that looses it's front air dam and therefore a huge chunk of it's downforce on a Le Mans track, the car is just all of a sudden flipping through the air like 50 feet above the track, then it shatters with shit flying everywhere, and then like 10 min later they're interviewing the guy about what happened. The titainium tubs they cram into some of those cars are just plain nutty.

My Grandad served on the HMS Hood (The British Battleship in WW2) and he said that when they did a full broadside volley of all of the main cannons that the entire Ship would move about 50' in the opposite direction from the recoil. Now that's power! :D
