I have yet to walk around the city listening to new music, with my new headphones. There's really nothing quite so serene as blocking people out on the bus. No more over-heard bus conversations for me, thank you Christmas gift buyer.

I agree. Except for once last week, I was walking along Robson, and it was packed due to Christmas shoppers, and my MP3 player screwed up. Instead of playing the song, it started playing random static and feedback REALLY loud (like ear bleeding kinda loud), and it freaked me out.. haha, I'm sure people noticed my reaction.
