So kel and i are eating at Benti sushi on granview and renfrew and i happen to glance out the window wich we were sitting by and some guy is taking a nice big piss looking me right in the face not 3 feet away from the window. The funny thing is he fell back a little a got it all on his pants. lol Like shit atleast face the road. But hey a little east van entertainment on a monday night i sopose. Gotta love it.

any recommendations? i've been there twice and both times me and my buddy weren't overly impressed. i'd love for it to be good since there isn't any japanese right in that area

The food there is like authentic japanese. Alot of the foods you don't see or taste in these so called regular sushi places.

Depends on what kinds of food you like. Hot Foods, Sushi, sashimi or nigiri?

I guess its just a matter of preference. Your right there isn't much in the grandview area. I go there for late night asian food once in awhile thoughh haha hon bo cafe

actually for japanese food, it's all good, i'll give it another shot, it has been a long time since i went.

for asian food right around there i'd rather go to green hut. you couldn't pay me to go to honbo.

green hut is definetly worth the money.

sooo affordable and not bad. If i go to a chinese restaurant and don't enjoy that restau rants black bean sauce i'm out of there, but the black bean chow mein an green hut is great and so cheap.

the guy who makes sushi at benti sushi worked at my parents restuarant for a few years. He is a better authentic japanese sushi chef than my dad.

Hmm I've always liked Samurai coz of the big portions.

There are a bunch of good sushi places downtown. Just make sure it's a real japanese place, and not a fast food (don't go to the one in the PC food court).

i thought that was grandview and renfrew right by evaD's house.
but that place closes at like 7 pm, the chinese place that is filled with chinese chain smoking coke dealers is open until 7AM.
good food.
TOJO's is the place to go for crazy good sushi in van.
it's way too easy to spend like $500 or so on food though
