9800 pro hands down.

Or you could spend the extra 50 bucks and get a 6800nu which kicks all of those cards arses.

^What he said, 9600XT isn't even worth your time. Or you could check out NVidia's Geforce FX6800 series.

read up on certain cards that are able to unlock to become a higher version, ie 9800np -> 9800pro, or 9800 pro -> 9800xt. There are many cards that do this, if you are looking to save a buck.

ATI Radeon 9800 pro! I just got mine last week and it runs great. I would go to anitec for cheapest price or ask for a price match from where ever your gonna go get it.

made in diffrent parts of Asia! They still have the main component chipset, but made and manipulated by another company....

Its like Technics looking tables that sound like technics with some diffrent features, but made by a diffrent company.

Would you know which one would be safest bet?

Ok, ATI makes all the cards. Asus takes the ATi core / schematics and tweaks them here and there, makes them better (IMO).

I would buy the Asus over the ATi over the Sapphire. Sapphire is just OEM stuff. But if all else fails just get the BBA card (built by ATi)

well i couldn't tell you anthing about ATI. I for one am an nVidia supporter and have never purchased any ATI cards. MSI pumps out nice nVidia chips, the OC-ing capabilities are nice. :)
