the 'net is pretty hardy now tho, it's also pretty redundant so it'd be really REALLY had to kill it, at most you might have slow patches. On Sept 11th on of the largest nodes for the western seaboard was taken out in Tower 2 but the affect on overall connectivity and speed wasn't that great.

however, if somebody set us up the bomb and all our internet base belong to them. I'd start passing out tin cans and string

It would affect me quite a bit. I spend so much time on the computer whether its browsing, chatting, downloading or whatever. With no hockey now thats pretty bad too. sigh

Yeah, everything would just slow down. Economically, it'd devastate the world. But we'd start talking to one another more, maybe even get out of the house more? Hell, what would happen if there were no more cell phones? We'd learn to deal without it. Slower is not necessarily bad anyhow.

Hey no fun!!! Remember the key word here is "theoretically." Beyond that though is it in no way possible that someone or something within reason (the ende of existence excluded in other words) could shut off the internet?

seriously though.. people would probably have a meltdown... weve become so dependant on it people would loose it.... i was thinking about that the other day same wioth cell phones... if i didnt have it.. i would be screwed... i seriously only know like one persons number on my cell.. we've all been turned into cyborgs!

Hahah, Yeah I'd hafta go back to using a dictionary and thesaurus. And buying music again. And calling friends/sending more text msgs. And writing letters. And watching the weather channel. And I could probably only do one of those things at a time. The internet has made me a better multitasker.
