My Student loan is PAID OFF!!!!!!!

some of you know the agony i went through went i was at trebas institute almost 2 years ago.

to catch people the school shut down, and i was stuck paying a bill of almost 3 grand i beleive it was...

i chose not to take the school to court as the court date isnt until soemtime this year

sooo...i've been having to pay stupid student loans 80 bucks/month plus interest since then

and i called them today to find out my balance and it is at 0!!!

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now is probably not the best time to tell you, but if you'd defaulted on that loan, and it went to a collection agency they are bound by law to accept any settlement you offer them. Including 1 penny a month for the rest of your life.

that's not to say
DON'T PAY OFF YOUR STUDENT LOAN!
cause, really, it leaves a pretty big blemish on your credit record.
having said that, everybody having finacial difficulties should check out canadian baliff law.

Yes i feel the pain, been paying $400 to $1000 a month just to get my loan payed off a fast as possible.
I'm so close It's like you're under water holding your breath just about to surface.

ppsec gave the owner of the school a certain amount of time to decide if he was going to close the school or put in the money for renovations that he promised were gonna be done..

ppsec came in and did a review of the school and decided that we were mislead...

then he shut the school down anyway...

and pretty much took off...there was no one at the school...

his lawyer contacted me...
ppsec contacted me...they told me that i can take him to court...there was gonna be a class action lawsuit

or i could suck it up and pay 30% or something of my tuition since i had been there for however long

unfortunaltey i sucked it up.
