Didnt you guys know U2 is actulay a "christian band"?
Even in there latest songs youll find lyrics of "god" "jesus" and many more that most of us probly dont notice.

I think the song may have somthing to do with a very dificult relationship battle. At least thats what I get out of it. Either a long distance, she left, cheeted on, or they just couldnt be? Either way if hes with her or shes not there hes in great pain.

well i think a lot of "deeper" bands write God into their lyrics, but do you really mean to say that these guys are the whole 9 yards orthoxy church going Christian straight edgers? wow, i really had no idea

not to get all religious, but i think the pronoun "she" is misleading. On one hand this person is suffering, and also worth suffering for. kinda like people who seek God, it's not always easy and the road is usually very hard since they're always being "tested."

I could elaborate, but i might be the only one who's on this track lol. anyway, enjoy the song.
