I inadvertently ate ants because they were in my drink when I was young. I didn't taste anything different.

Plus I hear insects can be quite good for you.

But don't trust me on that.

Chocolate covered ants Tim? Really!? I don't know if I would be daring enough to try them. Escargo is do-able but ants! lol.

if i was lost in the forest i'd eat bugs to stay alive.

but this isn't about survival. it's about eating little creatures for fun.

i can make u a batch tim!

when i was a kid..i really didn't like this girl..so for her birthday..i went around my yard collecting snails, worms, woodbugs, ants, ANYTHING..then i melted 4 large chocolate bars in a pot and put the bugs in..after watching them fight for life..they drowned in the chocolate and then i let it harden..i shaped the chocolate into a cubeish thing and gave it to her for her bday..=)..

i could do it for u if u want..but u'll have to supply ur own ants..

So I went to this "Edible Bugs" exhibit a while back. I sampled meal worms in jello (NASTY!) and dry roasted crickets (REALLY GOOD!). The crickets are kinda like roasted nuts. I'm thinking of honey-roasting some someday...

Grasshoppers are big too, which could be problematic. Crickets are plenty easy to catch, and hell, if you trust your near by pet store, crickets are common reptile food...
