Which do you like better?
and why? personally I love macs (except for most imacs, damn ugly unupgradeable pieces of crap) From my experience, they run alot smoother and are alot more stable than PCs. And they're the only way to go for pro audio. My only problem with them is the apparent lack of Mac warez. :) it would be nice to have more games availlable for them as well. opinions?

Due to the fact they screw up so much. This alone will keep the money coming in. I also thank Microsoft for all their buggy code.

Nice thread Rytalin!!
Both are dope in there own ways. When it comes to games, PC wins hands down. Same as support. Getting something fixed for a PC is relativly easy, unlike a MAC. Even though we all hate Micro$oft, you have to admit you love em too. :Kam: There programs are so useful, makes our lives so much easier. Oddly enough, the Windows enviroment was losely based on the MAC OS. :Power-P: Have you ever tried surfing the net on a MAC. Pain in the ass. BUT Mac wins when it comes to music production , video editing and graphics. Fuck these systems kick ass. OMG I want a MAC so I can produce my own breakbeats. Ha Ha! Man, if I continued to study Mac from grade 9. I'd be making a lot of money. Mac techies are rare and make a bundle of money.

The only difference between it and winXP though is that OS X runs a HELL of alot better than OS 9.x. I don't have XP on my computer right now, and from the sounds of it, I'm pretty glad I didn't upgrade to it. As for similarities in envorinments, Macs have been using the Finder since the beginning. There OS has remained constant. I remember using Macs when I was 7 or so, and the basic layout of the finder has stayed pretty much the same since then. Microsoft pretty much completly stole the GUI model for windows from Mac systems. as for net surfing, its not that bad. I find some sites run slower on Mac systems than PCs (ie F-K.com), but it's tolerable. Probably the worst thing is those goddamn one button mice. :)

granted, i don't know much about computers at all. but i find macs easier to use...probably because i'm computer illiterate.
I'm happy if I can turn my computer on without making a mistake. but my vote goes to the macs.

one word when it comes to pc
SUPPORT! and a broad range of it at that.. mac's are for task specific users (ie. audio production, image editing) well that and they're for yuppies!! haha i definetly wouldnt have my main computer as a mac, but i am interested in investing in a G4 simply for the multimedia side of things... my 0.02 cents.. -Christof

it's all about the hardware and software working together, Macs have always been better at integrating their hardware and software, PCs can't even compare in this field, they need all that support they have, Macs simply don't need it as much.

I don't know much about computers...But my vote would have to go with PC's...^_^

hmmmm i have 2 pcs at home and at school i use macs. i only work on the yearbook layouts and stuff at school and it's so frustrating. we only use 2 programs on the mac... yeartech and photoshop.. both programs are supported in pcs.. and macs just make it confusing. im just a pc bum i guess.. macs are shiny and pretty but the new mac comps at my school always crashes and it makes me extremly frustrated about my yearbook deadlines... grrr! neways...pcs all the way!

i dunno, me personally I like em both.. i've grown up with my comps, using both mac's and pc's.. so i like em both! they each do have their advantages.. i've gotte used to mac's [learning on em at school and all] and plus my dad used to own one. it was nice!! oOoOo.. i can't remember what type it was.. he sold it tho.. right now i have a pc.. FUCKING HELL.. hehe it's really bugging me right now.. i think right now i'll stick to my pc.. for all the dumb little options and shit that i have.. and plus i'm just so used to it! maybe they have em for mac's but i havent' used one in a while.. or seen the new ones.. oOoO altho i heard their nice..
