but what if your talking about selling drugs? like lets say acid, e, and pot, and then youg et an email telling you that your going to be talked to:S what the fuck can i do here? because right now, not looking very promising, fuck fuck fuck i need this job and i need the fucking money, fuck!

Well, not only are you most likely going to get fired but so is the other person. Besides again your violating streams code of internet usage if you are there right now posting on this forum. Who knows they'll probably send this off to the police as well. Anyone who gets fired from stream personally I think is pathetic. That place gives you 32 damn chances in a year... Thats right 32... Amazingly they have an 8 full point system until you get fired however you can get half a point and after 6 months they end up getting rolled off. So with half a point with 8 full points gives you a total of 16 chances in 6 months only for them to give you another 16 chances for another 6 months. Everyone complains about "stream this, stream that". Christ its the easiest damn job and there so layed back there its not even funny. You gotta be really fuckin stupid to get fired out of that place.

Its an outsourcing company that is accompanied with large tech companies to provide technical support. Its located in Chilliwack and basically all of chilliwack has been hired there pretty much so there's alot of people who are not from there then end up working there. No offence but the people they try to hire in chilliwack are excellent candidates for a gong show.

talking about drugs in WORK email... now, just to be straight, I'm the network administrator for my work, which means I run the mailservers and write the acceptable use policies. I have yet to see any acceptable use policy that says that employee email is private - in fact, pretty much all of them say that employee email is the property of the company. I've just been asked to build a system where we back up all the company email, just in case a laptop gets stolen or a hard drive dies.

Never put anything in email that you wouldn't write on a postcard. If you want to talk about drugs in email, get PGP and use it.

Most companies have comprehensive email filters and scanners kids. These tools bolt right into server-based apps like Exchange Server, Groupwise and other technologies to scan/watch for stuff like this. It also enables the management team to request an audit of emails to/from a certain employee within a company specifically for this reason.

Most companies also have an Internet/email policy that they typically let you know either verbally or have you sign your name too.

The course of action they will take is immediate termination of most certainly yourself and most likely the colleague you sent it to. They will do this certainly to set an example that this type of behaviour will not be tolerable.

Rule of thumb - NEVER chat about personal stuff over corporate/company email systems especially anything illegal like that. If you must talk about that type of thing, do so via Hotmail, Yahoo, Gmail or some other interner-based provider.

Consider this a lesson learned.

Psst: read the Gmail agreement. Any email in your mailbox older than six months becomes the property of Google, and can be searched by other users. Imagine if a prospective new employer is searching for your name on the internet in a few years and comes up with an email you sent to your friend about all the bad things you did at that party... our company already does "Google background checks" on all new employees, and we've already not hired a few based on their internet history.

Rule of thumb: don't talk about drugs in email or instant messaging, or on message boards. Stuff on the internet has a bad habit of being backed up somewhere and resurfacing later on in life, usually at the most inopportune moments.

well..... i dont think anythings going to happen, nothing has yet, and i know hes receive the emails... my ts sorta likes me and my stats are pretty good, so im thinkin im in the safe zone... and the other girl said everything will be fine, because she was just told not to do it again, but overall i think ill be ok, and regarding to someone else... your right, stream is an easy job and people take it for granted, and you all act like im an idiot here, when i wasnt the person who asked about it, her emails were monitored because of shes in training
