Gatti vs Mayweather a no go? Fuck that

For anyone who knows anything at all about boxing this was to be arturo gatti's defining moment if he were to win his bout against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Now apparently because Mayweather Jr took too long to sign the contract Gatti is refusing to fight him and is looking to fight someone else.

Yea I can understand where gatti is getting his views from, but he is throwing away the fight of a lifetime. One the fans wanna see, and one he should definetly finish.

Now all i consider is that gatti is running from Floyd because he knows he wouldn't stand a chance even with his power.

and Canadian or not Gatti should have been more patient especially knowning Mayweather got a conditional sentence so it would have put no damper on the super match

Mayweather would have schooled Gatti... I'm 75% sure. Gatti is great, but Mayweather is in a whole other world, from what I've seen of his fights.

and yea though i would have loved to see gatti win, mayweather would be too fast, slick and his boxing is in a league of its own, in that with roy jones jr when he was in his prime.

kenji does pull some suprises out sometimes.
But my question is, what kind of jaw is mayweather sporting. everyone knows gatti's tougher than a timex, and that might just be a telling point.

Of course, the irony of the guy who makes fights against even top level opponents look easy... is that it seems like he's never been tested!

I actually haven't seen enough of Mayweather's fights to make assumptions about his chin, but I will say that anyone who can school Diego Corrales is probably able to take a shot. And probably able to take out Arturo Gatti.

we could pontificate all we want, but anything can happen in a fight.
Mayweather seems to have every edge, except the slight one of being champ. But Gatti's just got that...........as they say, je ne sais quois. I'd really like to see this fight, cause from what I've seen of floyd, his skills have never been pushed at all, and gatti just seems like the type of guy to really test him....even though I think Floyd would win.

^ the reason Mayweather doesn't have a belt though is cause he jumped up in weight. He's already had belts in two weight classes. This was to be his third i believe.

They really need to arrange and fix this fight to happen. I highly doubt it will be fixed but there is still time. I mean Hassim Rahman tried to wuss out on his fight with Vitali Klitchko, so he can get more money right.. but now the fight is back on so there is alwayhs hope.

I'm a fan of both fighters, but based on what I saw in Morales/Barrera III (A Morales that, while still masively talented, looked more lethargic and less "terrible" than I was used to seeing), I have to agree and say Pacquiao by KO in the middle to late stages.

Yea i agree el terrible didn't look that terrible. He still has some good footwork and all, but as a whole he wasn't nearly as imposing as he once was.

Where as he will have to be at his best against pacquia, otherwise he'll end up just as barrera did with a TKO, and wondering what he did wrong.
