P.s.: Its an interesting story, during the soviet cold war the U.S. funds Iran and creates terrorist groups to go against the soviets in Iran. Once that was over, the U.S. found Iran to be a little bit of a problem with the weapons that they gavem, so they funded Saddam and provided him with weapons to take out Iran! isnt that ironic, for after no more than a decade, the U.S. starts bombing Iraq and claiming that they have weapons of Mass destruction.....its a big sack of shit if you ask me, the U.S. gov. does whatever is to its own benefit. 90% of the militant groups that do perform the suicide bombings were originally founded and funded by the U.S. gov. go figure sweet heart - I know because of one simple reason, a couple dozen of my family from my dad's side worked in those groups.

While, yes Sharon was negligent, he was the minister of defense at that time, he was NOT responsible...it should be noted that the land he was laying a blind eye to defending, was conquered land of Lebanon, which at the time was in complete political disarray. There was no form of government and Arafat was occupying the land until it was conquered. You should read "The Yom Kippur War" by Avra'am Rabinovich...he spent the past 20 year documenting all sides of the war, down to the days and times of EVERY event of the war...AMAZING..you should really read it. The US didn't do shit~ In actuality, the Egyptians could have won if Sadat didn't need the revolution to boost his own image, and the spirit of the nation who's previous war, the Six Day War, left them feeling defeated. By the way, Israel didn't start either war. It was all in defense. Had Sadat waited until he had the bombers sent from the soviet, he may have wiped Israel off the planet like he hope. In partnership with Syria, northeast of Israel and themselves located southwest, they had a good chance.

You know, what I can't stand is how when the holocaust was going on, plaestinians and arabs throughout the middle east were determined to enihilate the newly formed Israel the minute they suggested it.

If it were canada, with the natives and they had a halocaust, I'm sure canada would find it in themselves to donate a small portion of Vancouver Island to them. When you're dealing with level headed people, things just seem to work out better, less killing, more decision making. It's when you deal with people that think that if they kill and attack the newly formed country, it'll just dissapear. The Palestinians needed counselling back then to understand that perhaps the meetings that were held was the place to bring up their discomfort with the situation. It's for this reason(barbaric warring) that the palestinians didn't recieve an ounce of respect, they didn't co-operate in a dignified manner and their actions didn't demand any. The palestinians were attacking refugees that had just ran away from mass killings of their families. As far as I see it, Israel was in the making for years of maltreatment throughout the middle east.

When Israel was formed and the borders opened up allowing free access to the country as long as you were Jewish, it was obviously to strengthen their country to make it unified. Just like the surrounding coutries. You're going to tell me that it's wrong for Israel to allow free immigration based on religion...and I'd tell you that immigration on religious grounds is exactly the type of thing that keeps a people together..it's their beliefs. The beliefs of jews don't hurt anyone...it's not like they teach hatred for arabs or anything like that that has been done to them.
