I was over generalizing the fact that people who plant bombs/mines are primal and referred to them as apes. This is how I refer to people who kill for stupid reasons (middle east, Africa,etc)

Seriously these people aren't human! And I said they would laugh at this commercial, because they want to hurt people! However in most places in the world land mines lay dormant for years....20 years down the road they can hurt people. It is a real problem

I stick by what I said, these people are not human...they are primates...think about it the UN calls these places "developing countries" for a reason.

you can't possibly actually believe that everyone in the middle east or africa are 'primates' because they have landmines over there that were placed there many years ago? how can you call all those people not human because of past mistakes. if you're going to call them 'primates' then you should probably call canadians primates for their treatment of aboriginal people and japanese people, or you should call americans primates because of slavery.

do you really believe that the UN calls these places developing countries because the people are less intelligent? there are more genetic differences between members of your own 'race' than between members of other races...so you share almost identical genetic code to someone from mid-east or african or german or polish or any other of these 'races'. the genes that make up hair, eye and skin colour are a very small part of the genetic code. all humans share almost identical genetic make-up. race is almost purely a social construct that we have created to separate ourselves into catagories based on visible distinctions like skin colour.

and also, they are called developing countries because they have not gone through the industrialization and de-industrialization process that have happened in the western countries. who do you think is keeping third world countries as third world countries? it's these so called first-world countries; we swoop in and plant our factories there and then pump out the natural resources of the developing country and pay them very little for it and then we make a fortune off of them in our own markets.

When people leave there villages in Africa, beacsue some bloody tribe is coming to mutilate, rape and kill them. Or in Kosovo where thousand of refugee's fled THERE HOMES to escape the killing. Or the terrorist in the middle east acting on their own behalf, superceding their government to kill innocent people!

actually when you say that the "UN calls these countries developing nations" you are using their definition of the word 'developing'. which is not the same as your 'developing intelligence' definition, it's the definition i used. you were the one that brought up the UN, not me.

again, all i got upset about was how you are claiming that the whole of the people in the middle east are like this. yes, there are groups of radical relgious terrorists groups that go around killing innocent people, but that does not mean the rest of the population of the country shares their same ideals or morals.

canada did a bunch of horrible things to first nations people. ripping the land out from under them, stealing their children and putting them in residential schools where they were forced to forget their culture (for example there are recorded instances where aboriginal children who were caught speaking their own language had needles pushed through their tongues). there was also something called the Sexual Sterilization Act in Alberta in 1928 which had about 2500 aboriginal woman sterilized so they couldn't have children. that's just some of the many ways that canada has mistreated aboriginal people.

Trying to ban landmines is like trying to ban nuclear weapons, a noble endevor, but ultimately pointless. Somebody will always be making and selling them. The world would be a better place if the funds for that ad had been put into cleaning up current areas affected by landmines.
