Anti - catholic thread

i dont want to disshonour the pope, only speek my mind. i respect him.

but..

organized religous devotion, and modern medical sciences both failed to keep the pope healthy and alive....

if its not good enough for the pope, its not good enough for me...
george burns lived a good long life, mabey its something to do with the booze and cigars??

i decided to make a new thread as to leave the thread anounceing the tradgity positive and respectful. please let me know if even this is uncalled for?

haha you're fucking stupid man

he died an old man. he was just a spiritual leader not a god. if you're gonna start with the anti catholic stuff you might as well try coming up with things like him being responsible for the massive aids epidemic in senegal. hahaha try being 84 and healthy.

medical sciences can only do so much.
they can't keep you alive forever, we all know this. they did what they could, and they kept him alive for as long as they could.

he was 84 and very sick. it was his time, let it go. his religion has nothing to do with his death.

and maybe george burns living a good long life had to do with the fact that he didn't have parkinsons. don't be a moron.

You fucking retard.
Do you seriously believe what you just wrote?
He lived to be 84! With parkinsons!
He survived an assassination attempt 15 years ago (HE WAS FUCKING SHOT WHEN HE WAS LIKE 70 YEARS OLD AND LIVED).

Modern medicine isn't meant to make people immortal, it's meant to help people live fuller lives.
The pope had the best medical treatment, but it was his time to go. God called him back to heaven.

I used to be an altergirl and went to catholic school for six years, so I know what he did for people. He didn't just help the one billion catholics he lead, he also helped muslims and jews. He was respected by members of all religions and spiritual beliefs.

I don't agree with a huge number of the church's teachings, but I have a lot of respect for this man who managed to come out of a communist country like poland that pretty much shunned organized religion, to become the leader of one of the world's largest religions.

ps. fuck you for being so ignorant

How the fuck is pointing out that science couldn't keep the man alive anti Catholic?

Ugh, shut up. Try not talking, or typing- at least until you learn how to fucking think.

Absolutely nothing. There are hundreds of variations of the christian cross, the swasticka being one of them. The one most of of us see is the Roman Catholic Cross, but it's not uncommon to see other styles of crosses developed in various localities throughout the world.

But I'm left wondering how this thread lives up to its name; how is this anti-catholic? Your writing makes as much sense to me as calculus.

It's pretty easy. It was his time to go. Like others have said, he had parkinsons AND was shot twice.

I am not Catholic, but I still greatly respect this man for his accomplisments.

You seem to. I don't see why hostility has to meet every person who actually dares to speak their mind. Perhaps "anti-catholic" is too strong of a word, but just because one person says what they believe rather than the usual garble about how the pope was such a great person, and such you all bash him to be just another sheep. It's amazing the amount of narrowmindnesss that individuals can show at times.
